What other services can you offer?

In addition to lawn mowing services, our amazing team of gardeners can also handle weeding, weed spraying and removal, hedge trimming, pruning of plants, general garden clean ups, green waste removal, rubbish removal and gutter cleaning! If you have a large block of land, we also provide ride on mowing services. No job is too big or small!

Do I need to be home?

Not at all. As long as there is access provided to the required areas, there is no need to be home. You can continue with your day uninterupted and come home to a well maintained lawn and garden! If you have any special instructions for access, you are welcome to let us know before your scheduled visit.

What happens if you don't mow?

The world won’t end but after long periods without lawn mowing the roots of the grass blades will brown and will look more like weeds. This reduces the nutrition of your soil due to the lack of sunshine reaching the ground. In future, this will also create “brown patches” in your lawn and may create dormant areas of your lawn that won’t have the required nutrition to grow grass or plants again.

Another risk, is the potentia fire hazard in warmer weather. Grassfires do happen and can occur for dry, neglected lawns witth overgrown grass, especially in Australia.

The most common threat and complaint we hear about long grass comes from the potential to attract pests and rodents. Rats, snakes, spiders, and possums thrive in long grass and love these hiding spots due to the cool shade.

Can you mow when it is wet or raining?

Sadly, mowing in the rain or under wet conditions is not possible. Not only is this a poor condition for our amazing gardeners to be working under, but it would create a very poor mowing result for your lawn and will likely leave it in a worse condition. If you are ever scheduld to have lawn mowing services and it ends up raining on the day, we will be in touch with you to arrange another suitable day to revisit.

We understand it can be challenging to arrange last minute gardening, but we can often service our clients on the same day or next-day for any urgent requests.

Can I have a lawn mowing service today?

We can do same day visits if needed. This will also depend on the size of the job and location. We service over 5000 suburbs and have over 100 gardeners ready to go, so if we cannot service you today, you will normally have the option of booking in for the next day. Contact us today to arrange an urgent visit.

How often should your mow the lawn?

As a rule of thumb the recommended maximum grass length to remove from a cut is 1 third. This means you do not want to be having your lawns mowed too late, or too early. Normally during Autumn and Winter, most types of lawns can get away with only a visit every 4 – 6 weeks in Australia. In Spring and Summer, the consistent heat and increased humidity accelerates the grass growth and most lawns would require a visit every 2 – 3 weeks on average. Theis is just a recommendation and can vary depending on the type of grass you have.

How early can you visit?

Council noise restrictions vary across different areas, however generally, Monday – Friday allows for mowing and machine-powered equipment to commence from 7am. On Saturdays and Sundays this ranges from around 8am – 9am. If you have an ugrent visit required, please let us know so we can make sure your visit is placed first in the queue for the day!
